SSP GP Fund l, LP

In 2022, South Street Partners raised over $225 million for its inaugural fund, SSP GP Fund I. The Fund was formed to continue South Street’s established track record of executing on opportunistic, value added and special situation investment opportunities in real estate assets.

The Fund’s GP structure enables South Street to scale its successful strategy of partnering with other institutional investment firms on large cap transactions as well as to pursue small and mid-cap deals utilizing the Fund’s balance sheet. The Fund has a broad mandate and provides South Street with as much as $2.25 billion of unlevered buying power via partnerships and co-investment vehicles.

The firm was founded in 2009 on the belief that growth in the Southeastern Corridor would outpace the rest of the country and that attractive risk-adjusted opportunities would persist in these areas over the long term. Finding overlooked and idiosyncratic opportunities in these markets became a core part of South Street’s DNA. The Southern migration thesis has firmly materialized over the last decade and continues to strengthen as both individuals and corporations seek more favorable environments.
